Canadians Ice Hockey

Thanks to the cold winters, Canadians can play ice hockey on outdoor Rinks or frozen lakes and ponds. Ice Hockey is the world’s fastest team sport.


Native People

The Kwakiutl and Haida Indians were among the first people to live on Canada’s west coast. They carved totem poles to tell stories about their families and tradition.



Europeans started coming to Canada in the 17th century, Most French Canadians live in the region called Quebec.



This is the world’s tallest tower (but not the tallest building, since buildings have floors). It is 553 m (1,814 ft) high, which is taller than 300 people standing on each other’s heads. A glass lift shoots up the outside to the main deck, which has a rotating restaurant and a scary glass floor.

Sweet Treat

Maple syrup is made from the sap of maple trees. To make it, you must drill a hole 
in a Maple tree, collect the sap that drips out, and boil it until it thickens. Sugar Maple trees Produce the sweetest sap.
