Canadians Ice Hockey

Canada and Alaska

Canada is the second-largest country in the world and Alaska is the largest of all US states. Despite their huge size. Both places have small populations, because much of the land is covered in thick forest or frozen for most of the year. 

Magnificent scenery and unspoilt wilderness make Canada and Alaska great places to live. However, the winters are long, dark, and bitterly cold. Most people live in the south, where the weather is mildest. Alaska Landscape The ten tallest mountains in the USA are all in Alaska. Mount McKinley (Denali) is the highest. 

Surrounding this huge mountains are forest and lakes. Animal Life Despite the chilly weather, Canada, Alaska, and the surrounding sea are homes to some spectacular animals. Husky dogs – Are used to pull sleds that transport people and materials.

Walrus – Group together on Artic beaches or floating sheets of ice. 

Moose – Live in the woods close to swamps, lakes, and other watery areas.

Right Whales – Are sometimes hit by ships because the swim slowly. 

Fur Seals – Grow to about 2.1 m (7 ft) long. They eat fish and some birds.
